Groundwork in North Wales Autumn NewsletterWelcome to Groundwork’s new e-newsletter where we keep you informed about our latest projects across North Wales and hope to get your feedback. At Groundwork we help people change their own lives for the better by engaging them in physical environmental improvements. We work in partnership with communities, the public, private and voluntary sectors to deliver projects which help people to improve their health, their environment and improve their employment prospects through education and training. Latest Projects![]() Regeneration of derelict area in Connah’s QuayGroundwork and Connah’s Quay Community Action Team (Quay CAT) have successfully created a community garden and allotments on a derelict 1.24 acre site in Connah’s Quay, Flintshire. The garden was funded through a ‘Keep Wales Tidy’, Tidy Towns Grant and Flintshire County Council. The First Minister, Rt. Hon Rhodri Morgan AM, opened the garden this Summer. The community are delighted to have a space they can use for relaxation, growing fruit and vegetables and encouraging local biodiversity.
